Ali Kamau

Ali is a highly accomplished professional with a remarkable track record in the field of risk management, compliance, and security. Since October 2015, he has served as the Head of Risk, Compliance, and Security, leading strategic initiatives and ensuring the protection and stability of the Bank.

Ali’s has an MBA in Strategic Management from Kenyatta University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nairobi. He has acquired extensive training in various domains, including Risk Management, Leadership and Governance, Project Management, Cyber Security, and Data Protection among others.
With over 18 years of experience in the banking industry, Ali has honed his expertise and gained invaluable insights. He commenced his career at Family Bank, where he spent six years in operations, credit, and risk & compliance management. In 2011, Ali joined First Community Bank as an Assistant Risk Manager and quickly proved his abilities, advancing through the ranks.

Ali’s leadership qualities were recognized when he was appointed as the acting CEO during the transition period from First Community Bank to Premier Bank Kenya. His proficiency in overseeing operations and maintaining organizational stability was evident, and he successfully guided the company through this critical period. Subsequently, he transitioned back to his current role as the Head of Risk, Compliance, and Security, further solidifying his reputation as a trusted and reliable professional.
