Mr. Osman Dualle is an accomplished banking professional with an extensive career spanning 28 years. He has established himself as a thought leader in the banking sector, showcasing his expertise in strategic business development, banking operations, credit, and both retail and corporate banking.
A Graduate of Bachelor of Commerce from the University Of Nairobi’s School Of Business, Mr. Dualle possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience acquired through his years in the industry. He has actively participated in leadership and banking courses, both domestic and international.
As a forward-thinking leader, Mr. Dualle possesses a deep understanding of the evolving financial landscape. He demonstrates the ability to navigate complex market dynamics, adapt to regulatory changes, and identify new opportunities for business expansion. His banking journey began in December 1994 at Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), where he started as a Management Trainee. Over the years, he steadily progressed within the organization, eventually being appointed to the Executive Management team of KCB (Tanzania) in February 2003. During his seven-year tenure in KCB Tanzania, Mr. Dualle assumed executive accountability and spearheaded business development initiatives at both the country and regional levels heading various departments such as Retail Banking and Corporate Banking-Institutional & Liabilities among others.
Having served at KCB (Kenya and Tanzania) for 16 years, Mr Dualle moved on to East Africa Bank- Djibouti as the Head of Business & Operations from January 2010 February 2013, implementing effective banking strategies. He later joined Gulf African Bank as the Head of Commercial Banking between March and December 2013, where he provided leadership and support for the bank’s strategic business growth. Between January 2014 and 2018, Mr. Dualle served as the Deputy Managing Director at International Commercial Bank (ICB)-South Sudan, overseeing seamless and efficient support services.
In 2018, Mr. Dualle was appointed as the Managing Director of Premier Bank Somalia, a position he held for 5 years. During his tenure, Premier Bank Somalia achieved remarkable milestones, expanded its presence across Somalia and established itself as a leading technology bank in Somalia. Mr. Dualle’s forward-thinking approach led to the successful implementation of innovative digital banking solutions, enhancing customer experience, improving operational efficiency, and driving revenue growth.
Under Mr. Dualle’s strategic leadership, Premier Bank became a prominent financial institution and the leading issuer of Mastercard in the sub-Saharan Africa region. He prioritized financial inclusion and sustainability, positioning the bank as a customer-centric institution that caters to the diverse needs of its customers. Through inclusive banking solutions and responsible practices, Mr. Dualle ensured that Premier Bank remained at the forefront of providing accessible and sustainable financial services, aligning with the evolving needs of the customers.
In recognition of his outstanding leadership skills, he was appointed CEO of Premier Bank Kenya in March 2023. Mr. Dualle’s leadership approach revolves around building and nurturing high-performing teams.
