  1. What are Premier Bank Wearables?

Premier Bank Wearables are Near Field Communication (NFC) -enabled gadgets that allow users to make card payments seamlessly. These gadgets include sunglasses, bracelets, ceramic rings, key fobs, key holders, phone covers, and more.

  1. How do Premier Bank Wearables work?

The wearables use Near Field Communication (NFC) technology to enable contactless payments. Each wearable is linked to your debit card, which is connected to your bank account.

  1. Can I link multiple wearables to my card?

Yes, you can link up to a maximum of three wearable gadgets to your card and use them interchangeably for payments.

  1. What is the payment limit for wearables?

The default contactless payment limit is KES 200,000 for MasterCard Standard cards and KES 600,000 for the MasterCard WorldElite cards. If a transaction exceeds KES 5,000 you will be prompted to enter your card PIN for added security.

  1. What should I do if I lose my wearable, or it gets stolen?

If your wearable is lost or stolen, you can log in to the Premier Wear app and delete the lost wearable to prevent unauthorized transactions or contact Premier Bank customer support for assistance by either calling 020 284 3000/0725 843 000 or writing an email to customerexperience@premierbank.ke

  1. Are Premier Bank Wearables secure?

Yes, wearables use advanced security measures such as tokenization, where your card details are replaced with secure tokens during payment processing. This ensures that your actual card information is not shared with merchants, reducing the risk of fraud. Additionally, for transactions above KES 5,000, a PIN is required for added security. In case a wearable is lost, it can be deactivated immediately through the Premier Wear app or by calling Premier Bank Customer support through 020 284 3000 / 0725 843 000, or writing an email to customerexperience@premierbank.ke

Can I use Premier Bank Wearables internationally?

Yes, the wearables can be used anywhere that supports NFC contactless payments.

  1. How do I get a Premier Bank Wearable?

You can purchase a wearable from any Premier Bank branch.

  1. Can I link a wearable to more than one card?

No, each wearable can only be linked to one card at a time.

  1. How do I unlink a wearable from my card?

You can log in to the Premier Wear app and remove your wearables by deleting it.

  1. Is there a fee for using Premier Bank Wearables?

There is no charge passed to the customer for using the wearables.

  1. Can I get a replacement if my wearable is damaged?

Yes, you can purchase a new wearable at a Premier Bank branch, and it shall be linked to your card using the Premier Wear app.

  1. What if my wearable does not work at a payment terminal?

Ensure that the terminal supports NFC payments and make sure to place the wearable gadget on the terminal till the transaction is authorized. If the issue persists, contact Premier Bank customer support for assistance by either calling 020 284 3000/0725 843 000 or writing an email to customerexperience@premierbank.ke

  1. How do I check my transaction history?

You can view all transactions made with your wearables through the Premier Wear app or your online banking portal.

  1. Do I need to charge my wearable?

No, you don’t need to charge it.

  1. Do I need my phone close to make a payment?

No, you do not need your phone to make payment.

 

  1. Are the wearables water resistant?

All Premier Bank wearable gadgets are water resistant.

 

  1. Can I have a wearable gadget without a PBK card?

You must have a card for you to have a wearable gadget.
